McInnes acknowledged the challenge ahead, stating, 'It’s nice to be able to hear ‘Hearts could win the league at Tynecastle.’ The likelihood is we are going to have to win two games or certainly pick up four points.' He emphasised his unshakable belief in the squad, despite the pressure of holding off both Rangers and Celtic this season.
Celtic manager Martin O'Neill, whose side have won five consecutive league games, remained cautious. 'We have been fighting every week... Hearts are a really fine team who have stuck at it all season long,' he said. O'Neill noted that while the pressure is on Hearts as the hunted team, his team's recent 3-1 comeback victory over Rangers has boosted confidence.
