Liverpool captain Grace Fisk has been called up to the England women's squad for their upcoming matches against Brazil and Australia, replacing the injured Katie Reid. The uncapped defender, 26, joins the Lionesses as cover after Arsenal's Reid withdrew due to injury.
Midfielder Grace Clinton has also been ruled out with a minor injury and will remain with Manchester City for rehabilitation. The Football Association confirmed both players will stay with their clubs to recover.
Fisk, who was appointed Liverpool captain in September, has progressed through the England youth system but is yet to make her senior debut. She signed a new contract with Liverpool earlier this year, having spent the first nine years of her senior career at Millwall and West Ham.
The Lionesses will gather at St George's Park on Monday before facing Brazil at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 26 October and Australia at Pride Park on Tuesday 29 October. Fisk could earn her first senior cap in either fixture.
