Fremantle Dockers fans have explained what 'Wharfie Time' means ahead of Saturday's grand final against the Brisbane Lions, after the AFL gave the tradition the green light for the neutral MCG.
What is 'Wharfie Time'?
The mid-game activation features tolling bells, special lighting and images of a boat crashing through waves on the big screen. It is used to rally the team and crowd when the Dockers 'need a lift'.
After debate over whether it should be allowed at the grand final, the AFL has confirmed the tradition can be activated during the match.

The decision means Fremantle supporters will see the familiar sights and sounds of 'Wharfie Time' at the MCG, as the Dockers face the Brisbane Lions in the season decider.
