Rocky Flintoff, the 18-year-old son of former England captain Freddie Flintoff, scored his first career century in brutal fashion, helping Lancashire seal a place in the knockout stage of the Metro Bank One Day Cup with a stunning display of hitting against Somerset.
Match-winning stand with Keaton Jennings
Batting first, Lancashire were reduced to 138-3 when Flintoff came to the crease in the 23rd over. He shared a stand of 214 with Keaton Jennings, who finished on 156 off 127 balls.
Flintoff's hundred came off just 65 balls, and he scored 123 from 76 deliveries before being caught by Archie Vaughan, son of Freddie's former England captain Michael.
Lancashire's dominant victory
Lancashire posted a mammoth 443-6 and bowled Somerset out for 269 in reply, setting up a home knockout clash against Ben Stokes' Durham.
The performance comes just three days after Freddie confirmed he was standing down as head coach of England Lions. He will coach Sydney Thunder in Australia's Big Bash League this winter.

Posting on Instagram, Flintoff said: "Unfortunately, I’ve made the decision to step away from my role with the Lions. Not only have I enjoyed my time having the opportunity to work with the best young cricketers in the country, but have taken great pride in seeing them develop.
"I’d like to thank the coaches and staff for all their passion, tireless work and support they give everyday. In particular Ed Barney who I’ve loved working with and was so lucky to have as a performance director, and obviously Rob [Key] for trusting me with one of the most Important roles in English cricket.
"I can’t wait to get started with the Thunder later in the year and see where coaching takes me. Good luck to whoever takes over you have some big pants to fill."
