Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur has publicly championed Verstappen, praising the four-time world champion's consistency and ability to manage races. In 2023, Vasseur highlighted Verstappen's impressive performance over two years, noting he made only a single mistake during that period.
Verstappen is under contract with Red Bull until 2028, making a move to Ferrari unlikely in the near term. However, Vasseur's comments suggest a strong interest in the Dutch driver.
Ferrari's evolving driver philosophy
Ferrari has traditionally favored a clear number one driver, as seen with Michael Schumacher. However, the team's approach has shifted, with Leclerc and Hamilton now forming a partnership of equals.
