Former Liverpool and Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has amazed fans with his dramatic physical transformation since retiring from professional football in 2019. The 38-year-old, now manager of Atletico Madrid's B team, has packed on significant muscle mass, as seen in a recent casino advertisement where his arms bulged from a tight polo shirt. He regularly shares his gym workouts on social media.
Torres is not alone in his transformation. Cristiano Ronaldo, now 38, evolved from a skinny teenager at Manchester United into a muscular icon through dedication and hard work. He once said, 'I put it in my mind that my body can improve. With dedication and hard work in the gym I improved a lot on that.'
Wolves winger Adama Traore, 27, is known for his powerful physique, which he claims is natural. 'My training? I don't do weights. It's genetic,' he explained. His club even oils his muscles before matches to prevent opponents from grabbing him.
Manchester United's Marcus Rashford, 25, has also transformed from a slender teenager into a muscular athlete with a six-pack, thanks to strength and conditioning training. Barcelona's Robert Lewandowski, 34, benefited from Bayern Munich's intense training regime and his nutritionist wife's help to achieve an outstanding physique.
Finally, Adebayo Akinfenwa, 40, became one of the Football League's biggest players, known as the strongest on FIFA. He recently came out of retirement to play for Faversham Town after spells with Northampton, AFC Wimbledon, and Wycombe.
