England to Play Pre-World Cup Friendlies in Florida, Base in Kansas City

England will play World Cup warm-up matches against New Zealand and Costa Rica in Florida, before basing themselves in Kansas City for the tournament. Thomas Tuchel's squad will fly to Florida in early June, facing New Zealand on 6 June and Costa Rica four days later.

After the friendlies, the team will transfer to Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, a facility used by Sporting Kansas City's academy and previously by Manchester United and Manchester City. The Football Association chose the location for its central position, reducing travel distances to match venues.

England's opening group game is against Croatia on 17 June in Arlington, Texas, followed by matches against Ghana in Foxborough on 23 June and Panama in New Jersey on 27 June. The squad will travel from Kansas City for each game and return afterwards.
