Harry Kane scored twice as England cruised to a 3-0 victory over Czechia, making it three wins in a row to end the international window. The Three Lions toiled in the opening stages but were given a helping hand - or foot to be exact - by Vladimir Coufal, who put the ball into his own net on 27 minutes.
Former West Ham defender Coufal diverted Kane's cross past the helpless Lukas Hornicek of Newcastle. And, of course, Kane would get on the scoresheet himself to mark his record-equalling 125th cap for England, slotting home on the brink of half-time.
Kane doubles up in second period
The captain doubled up in the second period, heading home Lewis Hall's corner. England are now just one point behind group leaders Spain following their 1-1 draw away to Croatia, although the top two in the group will advance to the quarter-finals in March.
Tuchel made four changes to his starting line-up. Ezri Konsa, Alex Scott, Anthony Gordon and Bukayo Saka were replaced by Trent Alexander-Arnold, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Morgan Rogers and Eberechi Eze.
Player ratings
Jordan Pickford 6 - Finishes this international window probably still ahead of James Trafford after their Nations League job share.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 7 - Went close early on with a spectacular long-range free kick. A couple of defensive lapses. He's been given the two easier Czech games in this window which tells you what Tuchel really thinks.
Jarell Quansah 7 - Switched to centre half and looked solid enough to prove his versatility. Becoming a Tuchel favourite.
Marc Guehi 7 - His awful night against Spain now seems a long time ago (only 11 days) as he was back towards his best.
Lewis Hall 7 - The only worry is he looks fragile… he took a knock and hobbled but played on. If he's fit, he's nailing this place down. Assist for Kane's second with a lovely corner.
Elliot Anderson 7 - He always makes himself available and gets through so much work. Excellent and so reliable.
Myles Lewis-Skelly 7 - Booked. Produced one moment of brilliance, a lovely turn and pass to underline his quality. Has done well overall in this camp.
Morgan Rogers 8 - Played really well down the right. A big positive. Supplied the assist for Kane and looked determined to make an impact.
Jude Bellingham 7 - Even Superman has to play second fiddle sometimes and this night belonged to Kane. Nice moments, including an audacious back heel attempt.
Eberechi Eze 6 - Played down the left where you suspect he might be for Arsenal for the next month or so… only had a few fleeting moments.
Harry Kane 9 - Marked his record-equalling 125th cap with two goals and another man of the match performance. A night to remember.
