Luke Littler Suggests Man Utd Loan Move for Dani Olmo

Darts sensation Luke Littler has urged Manchester United to sign Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo on a six-month loan. The 17-year-old, who reached the PDC World Championship semi-finals on Wednesday, posted on Instagram: “6 month loan United” alongside a picture of the Spanish international.

Olmo is reportedly available this January after Barcelona failed to register him for the second half of the season, meaning he could leave for free. United face competition from Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City, Chelsea and several foreign clubs.

This is not the first time Littler has offered transfer advice to his boyhood club. Previously, he called for the return of former goalkeeper David De Gea during Andre Onana's difficult spell, writing “Bring back Dave” in a now-deleted social media post.

However, United manager Ruben Amorim has indicated that January signings are unlikely without player sales. Speaking last month, he said: “We don’t have that possibility in January, if we don’t take (sell) some players. So it’s not the case that I am arriving here and I can spend a lot of money changing all the team.”

Littler, who beat Nathan Aspinall 5-2 in the quarter-finals, will face Stephen Bunting in the last four on Thursday as he aims for a second World Championship final appearance.
