Chloe Kelly threw a street party in her west London hometown as England’s Euro 2025 celebrations continued. The Arsenal winger, who scored the winning penalty in the final against Spain, joined friends and family in Hanwell over the weekend.
Kelly also netted a late extra-time winner against Italy in the semi-final. Earlier in the week, she was part of the team’s open-top bus parade down the Mall in central London, where fans gathered to celebrate the side’s second successive European title.
A video posted on social media showed the 27-year-old dancing in the middle of a large crowd at the street gathering. The clip quickly went viral.
Reflecting on her year, Kelly said she had experienced “dark moments” after leaving her previous club and was grateful to those who supported her. “There were a lot of tears at full-time, especially when I saw my family... thank you to everyone that wrote me off, I’m grateful,” she said.
She also reserved praise for manager Sarina Wiegman, saying she gave her hope and an opportunity to represent England again. Kelly’s winning goal in the final three years ago against Germany at Wembley remains a famous moment; on this occasion she said: “The first time was so nice, we had to do it twice.”
