Champions League draw: Man United and Man City learn opponents

Manchester United and Manchester City will learn their opponents in the league phase of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League in today's draw, scheduled to start at 5pm (BST).

United return to Europe's top competition for the first time since the 2023/24 season, while City aim to move past recent disappointing European campaigns and reclaim the title they won in 2023.

Pot placements for English clubs

Enzo Maresca's Chelsea will be in Pot 1 for the draw, with Michael Carrick's United in Pot 2. Among the other English sides, Liverpool and Arsenal join City in Pot 1, while Aston Villa join United in Pot 2.

Each team will be paired with two teams from Pots 1 to 4 to make up their eight league phase matches. Four games are played at home and four away, and English sides cannot be paired with other English sides.

How to watch and follow the draw

The draw will be streamed on the UEFA website, on TNT Sports' YouTube channel, and via the HBO Max app and website. It is also being shown live on TNT Sports 1.

UEFA's club coefficient rankings, based on a club's results in European competitions over a five-year period ending in 2025/26, determine which pot each team is placed in for the draw.
