Michael Carrick Confirms Casemiro Return for Nottingham Forest Clash
Carrick: Casemiro Available for Forest, Sesko Doubtful

Michael Carrick has confirmed that Casemiro will be available for Manchester United's final home match of the Premier League season against Nottingham Forest on Sunday, though Benjamin Sesko remains a doubt. The Brazilian midfielder missed the midweek draw with Sunderland due to a minor issue but is now ready to feature.

Casemiro's Return and Future

Casemiro, who has been rejuvenated under Carrick, is expected to make his Old Trafford farewell before leaving the club this summer. His contract is set to expire, and his next move remains unclear. Carrick praised the midfielder's commitment: "Case is available. He's fully invested, fully supported by us as a staff in the performances he's given. He's obviously had some ups and downs, like we all have in football and over the years, but to finish so strongly and to see that connection that he's got with the supporters is really good to see."

Sesko's Injury Update

Benjamin Sesko continues to nurse a shin injury sustained during the game against Liverpool. The weekend fixture is likely to come too soon for the striker, with the hope he can feature in the final game at Brighton next Sunday. Carrick added: "He's still not 100 per cent."

Carrick's Future at the Club

Carrick also addressed his own future, with talks underway for him to remain at the club permanently. "Listen, the future for me is going to be decided pretty soon. We knew that was going to be towards the end of the season, if not the end of the season, so nothing's changed. There's no big swing on that, that is what it is, and obviously whatever's beyond that is pretty close round the corner anyway."

Reflecting on his role, Carrick said: "It's a unique football club, special football club. I'm immensely proud to have come back and to be part of it, to help. As a supporter, as an ex-player and an ex-employee is one thing, but as a pure supporter and caring about the club so much to be in a position to come back and help him for us as a group to move forward it was important. To make the big step to get back into the Champions League is good and obviously we're happy with the work that we've done so far."
