Cardiff City were forced to settle for a point despite dominating large parts of the second half against Sheffield United at Cardiff City Stadium.
The Bluebirds created enough pressure and chances to win it, with Cian Ashford, Ollie Tanner and Jack Moylan among those to impress. But they could not find the decisive goal as the Blades held on for a 2-2 draw.
Goalkeeper and defence
Nathan Trott was rated 7, barely troubled outside of the goals, neither of which he could do much about. He made a low save with his leg off a Callum O'Hare shot.
Perry Ng scored 7, enjoying one or two bursting runs upfield and generally steady, smashing the crossbar late on. Krystian Bielik earned an 8 on his impressive debut, adding a much-needed physical presence, steel and a calm head. He won a number of headers and steadied the ship when needed, having a late shot denied.
Gabriel Osho also rated 8 on his timely return to fitness, tough to deal with the likes of Bamford and Cannon but standing up to the task well. Joel Bagan scored 8, having that stunning right-footed shot saved well and linking up encouragingly with Moylan, offering a consistent threat down the left.
Midfield and attack
Alex Robertson was rated 6, starting poorly and contributing to both Blades goals, though he really upped his game afterwards and controlled midfield.
Cian Ashford was the star man with an 8, delivering a wonderful display and getting the goal his industrious and quality performance deserved. Rubin Colwill scored 7, central to Cardiff being dangerous on the counter, his ability to carry the ball forward helping the Bluebirds turn defence into attack.
Ollie Tanner earned an 8 for his best game of the season comfortably, beating his man often and sending in dangerous crosses, instrumental in Ashford's goal. Yousef Salech rated 7, having a number of half chances he couldn't quite convert and unable to react when Ng hit the bar.
Jack Moylan scored 8, so bright and enjoying an excellent link-up with Joel Bagan. He took his goal brilliantly and was a constant threat before being withdrawn late on.
Substitutes
Chris Willock (Tanner 72) was rated 6, looking lively after coming on and helping maintain Cardiff's attacking pressure, but couldn't find the breakthrough. Callum Robinson (Salech 85), Joel Colwill (Moylan 85), Isaak Davies (Ashford 85) and Calum Scanlon (Bielik 90) all received N/a ratings.
