The draw for the second round of the Carabao Cup has been completed, with Manchester United handed a trip to League Two side Grimsby Town. The Red Devils enter the competition at this stage after finishing 15th in the Premier League last season and losing the Europa League final, meaning they have no European commitments this term.
The second round is regionalised, sparing London clubs from long midweek journeys. West Ham United will travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Brentford face a trip to Bournemouth in two all-Premier League ties. Everton have been drawn at home against League One Mansfield Town at their new stadium.
Other notable ties include Fulham visiting League One Crawley Town, and Millwall hosting League Two Gillingham. The matches are scheduled to take place in the week commencing 26 August 2024.
