Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been voted the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) men's Player of the Year for the 2025-26 season. Manchester City striker Khadija Shaw claimed the women's equivalent, the union announced on Tuesday.
Outstanding Seasons Recognised
Fernandes, 31, led United to a Premier League and Champions League double, scoring 28 goals and providing 19 assists in all competitions. Shaw, 29, was the top scorer in the Women's Super League with 24 goals as City retained the title.
The awards are voted for by fellow professionals across the four English leagues and the Women's Super League.
Other Award Winners
Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden was named the young player of the year, while Chelsea forward Lauren James took the women's young player award. The PFA also announced its team of the year for both the men's and women's divisions.
Fernandes said he was "honoured" to receive the award, while Shaw described it as a "special moment" in her career. The pair will now turn their attention to the upcoming international break.
