Bradley Walsh faced one of his greatest fears in the latest episode of ITV's Breaking Dad, pleading with his son Barney as he prepared to tackle a zipline high above the Blue Mountains in Australia. The Chase presenter, known for his well-documented fear of heights, was visibly terrified as he gripped the rope tightly, breathing heavily, and muttered, 'I really, really tell you, guys, I really don't want to do this.'
Barney Urges His Father On
Barney Walsh, who co-hosts the TV hit Gladiators alongside his famous dad, tried to encourage him, exclaiming, 'Dad, you can do it!' But Bradley insisted, 'No, I can't. I don't want to do it Barns. Please don't. Please don't do none of that for me.' Undeterred, Barney urged, 'Well, you can do it, you can,' to which Bradley replied, 'What did I just tell him? Didn't I just tell him?'
Despite his protests, Bradley eventually began to edge his hands along the ropes, murmuring, 'Please, God,' as he made his way across the zipline. Barney shouted encouragement, yelling, 'You got it,' as Bradley gradually reached solid ground on the opposite side.
A Reluctant Triumph
When questioned about how he felt after completing the challenge, Bradley appeared to let slip a swear word, confessing, 'Awful.' Barney insisted, 'You smashed it, you smashed it,' as an exhausted-looking Bradley caught his breath. The emotional moment highlighted the bond between father and son as they continue their adventures in the seventh series of Breaking Dad.
Seventh Series of Breaking Dad
Breaking Dad first launched in 2019 and is now in its seventh series. The latest run kicked off earlier in May, with the opening episode following the father-and-son duo as they touched down in Sydney. They took in iconic landmarks including Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, before braving a thrilling aerobatic flight and a nerve-shredding ride on an extreme, high-altitude cable car.
Bradley and Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad airs on Friday, May 8, at 7:30 PM on ITV1, ITVX, STV, and STV Player.
