Andoni Iraola Could Bring Three Bournemouth Stars to Liverpool

New Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola could target three of his former Bournemouth players as he prepares to take over at Anfield. The 43-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Reds after guiding the Cherries to a sixth-place Premier League finish and European qualification.

The most high-profile potential signing is Argentine centre-back Marcos Senesi, who is expected to leave Bournemouth on a free transfer. Senesi has been linked with Tottenham, but Iraola may try to persuade him to join Liverpool instead, especially given the club's need for defensive reinforcements after Ibrahima Konate's departure.

Another target is Brazilian forward Rayan, who joined Bournemouth in January for £24.7m and scored five goals in 15 Premier League appearances. The 19-year-old has a release clause of £87m, but it only becomes active next summer, meaning any move this year could be expensive.

Midfielder Tyler Adams is also on the radar. The 27-year-old American provides physicality and energy in the holding role, an area where Liverpool may need cover if Wataru Endo leaves. Adams' contract runs until 2028, so he would not command an excessive fee.

Iraola's appointment follows Arne Slot's departure after a season where Liverpool finished just three points ahead of Bournemouth but failed to win a trophy. The Dutchman had won the league title in his first campaign.
