The Buffalo Bills have agreed to acquire wide receiver DJ Moore from the Chicago Bears, according to multiple media reports on Thursday. The Bears will receive a 2026 second-round draft pick in exchange for Moore and a 2026 fifth-round selection, with the trade set to be processed when the new league year begins on 11 March.
The move gives reigning MVP Josh Allen a much-needed weapon in the passing game, which has lacked reliable receivers in recent seasons. Moore joins wideout Khalil Shakir and tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox in Buffalo's offence. He will also reunite with Bills head coach Joe Brady, who served as Moore's offensive coordinator with the Carolina Panthers from 2020 to 2021, when Moore topped 1,100 receiving yards in both campaigns.
Chicago were willing to part with Moore following the emergence of Rome Odunze, selected ninth overall in the 2024 draft, and second-round pick Luther Burden last year.
Moore, 28, recorded career lows in catches (50) and receiving yards (682) last season, along with six touchdowns in 17 games. Over his career with the Panthers (2018-22) and Bears, he has 608 receptions for 8,213 yards and 41 touchdowns in 131 games. He is under contract through 2029 and is due to earn $23.5m in 2026.
