Beto scored twice and Iliman Ndiaye added a stunning third as Everton secured a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Chelsea at Hill Dickinson Stadium. The result marked Everton's biggest win over Chelsea since 1987 and lifted them to within three points of fifth-placed Liverpool.
The hosts took control early, with Beto opening the scoring after a fine pass from Ndiaye. The Portuguese striker doubled his tally before half-time, heading home from a corner. Chelsea offered little in response, with Jordan Pickford preserving his 100th Everton clean sheet with a superb save from Enzo Fernández.
Ndiaye sealed the win in the second half, collecting Beto's headed pass before cutting inside and firing into the top corner. The victory was Everton's second consecutive league win at their new stadium and left Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior facing a fourth straight defeat.
"That was the best I've seen Hill Dickinson Stadium, and to top it off with a win – amazing," said Ndiaye. "Today was a must-win game for us. We did a great, great performance, a clean sheet, and we are happy."
Everton's form has propelled them into European contention, while Chelsea's slump continues ahead of home games against Manchester City and Manchester United.
