Borussia Dortmund leapfrogged Bayer Leverkusen into third place with a 2-1 win in Leverkusen. Aaron Anselmino and Karim Adeyemi scored either side of half-time, with Christian Kofane pulling one back late on for the hosts.
In Serie A, Milan moved top of the table with a 1-0 home victory over Lazio. Rafael Leão's goal early in the second half proved decisive, as goalkeeper Mike Maignan produced several fine saves to keep a clean sheet.
