Australia recorded a comprehensive 10-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the first Test at Darwin's Marrara Oval, taking a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
Dominant performance
After dismissing Bangladesh for 233 in their first innings, Australia posted a formidable 402, thanks in part to a century from Steve Smith. In reply, Bangladesh were bowled out for 157 in their second innings, leaving Australia a target of just 89 runs.
Australia chased down the target without losing a wicket, with Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne guiding the team home.
Series context
This was Australia's first Test in Darwin since 2003. The second and final Test is scheduled to begin on August 25 at the same venue.
