Man City Identify Grealish as Top Target if Silva Leaves

Manchester City have reportedly identified Jack Grealish as their top priority in the summer transfer window, should Bernardo Silva depart the club. Pep Guardiola's side are preparing for a busy off-season after losing the Champions League final to Chelsea, with several first-team players potentially leaving.

Silva has attracted interest from Atletico Madrid, who have monitored him for 'many years' and could leverage their relationship with his agent Jorge Mendes to secure a transfer. The 26-year-old made 45 appearances last season, scoring five goals and providing eight assists.

If Silva departs, City are said to view Grealish as an ideal replacement. The Aston Villa midfielder impressed Guardiola with six goals and 10 assists in 26 Premier League games last season. Grealish signed a new contract until 2025 in September, but City may test Villa's resolve with a bid.

City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak confirmed the club will invest in 'a couple of key positions' this summer, beyond replacing departing striker Sergio Aguero. A world-class goalscorer remains the priority, with Harry Kane, Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku on the radar.
