Arsenal chiefs have made provisional plans for a Champions League victory parade in Islington on May 31, as jubilant stars insist they can win the trophy. The Gunners face either Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain in the final in Budapest on May 30, aiming to become European champions for the first time.
Players Express Confidence
Riccardo Calafiori declared that Arsenal have become a “feared team” across Europe after remaining unbeaten in the Champions League this season. “I’m so proud of this team. It’s massive… we’ve done it without losing. We didn’t win the trophy yet but it’s a massive way and I hope to do the same in the final,” he said.
Leandro Trossard added: “It’s one game so you have to go with everything you can. Everyone will be full of energy, ready for it. In one game everything can happen. I think we have more experience as well. Every year you get more experience, you know how to handle situations. Also, we have a bigger squad, we have so much quality and everyone is contributing.”
Victory Parade Plans
Arsenal’s first Champions League final in 20 years has prompted provisional arrangements for an open-top bus parade on May 31, starting from the Emirates Stadium and proceeding to Islington Town Hall. The team would fly back to London in the early hours after the final.
If victorious, England stars Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Noni Madueke would report late for World Cup duty. England are due to fly to Florida for a pre-camp on June 1, but Arsenal’s contingent could join up to four days later.
Ticket Allocation and Travel Chaos
Arsenal will receive an allocation of 16,824 tickets for the 67,000-capacity Ferenc Puskás Stadium, with additional corporate packages available. Fans face travel chaos with sky-high flights and hotel bills, some one-way tickets already exceeding £3,000. Supporters are resorting to flights, trains, and car hire to reach Budapest.
Midfielder Rice urged fans: “Bring it on, bring it on – I’ll be ready. Let’s see what happens. Budapest, I want every Arsenal fan out there. 200,000 of you, come out! Let’s try and do it because we’re going to need all the support, all the energy and let’s make it really special.”
