Arsenal announced the signing of 16-year-old centre-back Daniel McCarron in February. The Northern Ireland U17 international will join the club's academy this summer after impressing during a trial. A club statement confirmed a pre-contract agreement that will lead to professional terms. The Gunners are also expected to make Piero Hincapie's loan from Bayer Leverkusen permanent.

Liverpool agreed a £60m deal for defender Jeremy Jacquet in February, with the 20-year-old remaining at Rennes for the rest of the season. Despite suffering a shoulder injury, he is expected to challenge for a first-team place. Additionally, Austria Wien starlet Ifeanyi Ndukwe, 18, will join the Reds this summer after making his senior debut.
