Al Nassr are reportedly planning a major squad overhaul this summer, with Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah among the high-profile targets to join Cristiano Ronaldo. The Saudi Pro League side have not won the domestic title since 2019 and are determined to challenge the dominance of Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad.
According to Saudi publication Al-Yaum, Al Nassr and Al-Hilal are competing to sign Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva on a free transfer. Silva, who has won six Premier League titles and the Champions League under Pep Guardiola, is set to leave City at the end of the season. Ronaldo is believed to be keen on bringing his Portugal teammate to Riyadh.
Manchester United have confirmed that Casemiro will leave the club when his contract expires in June. Ronaldo, who played alongside the Brazilian at Real Madrid, has reportedly advocated for his transfer to Al Nassr. Marca reports that Ronaldo sees Casemiro as the defensive linchpin needed to secure Al Nassr's supremacy in the Saudi Pro League.
Salah shocked the football world in March when he revealed his desire to leave Liverpool after nine years. Multiple offers have reportedly surfaced, including one from Al Nassr, who are understood to be interested in partnering him with Ronaldo. However, other Saudi clubs such as Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli, and Al-Qadsiah are also tracking the Egyptian forward.
Al Nassr already boast a strong squad featuring Kingsley Coman, Sadio Mane, Joao Felix, and Inigo Martinez. The addition of Salah, Silva, and Casemiro would create a formidable super team capable of challenging for top honours.
