Coronation Street star Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, has spoken publicly for the first time about his single life following his split from long-term girlfriend Tisha Merry. The couple, who met on the set of the soap, ended their five-year relationship in February this year.
In a lighthearted Instagram post this week, Halsall shared a video of himself with his daughter Sienna-Rae and a dog. When the dog attempted to mount him, he joked: 'Apparently we're not best friends. Most action I've had in a while ffs fml.' He later posted another picture with the caption: 'New Tinder profile picture', hinting he is ready to date again.
Halsall and Merry began their relationship in 2018 after initially being friends and yoga buddies. They lived together in Manchester, but Merry moved out following the split. A source told The Sun that the couple 'started to drift apart' and 'weren't on the same page'.
Halsall shares his daughter with ex-wife Lucy-Jo Hudson, whom he was married to from 2009 to 2018. He has also been recovering from reconstructive ACL surgery, which kept him off Coronation Street from November until January.
