A statement from West Ham read: "The 22-year-old moves to the Belgian Pro League side after 16 years in Claret and Blue, having joined the Academy of Football at the age of six and worked his way up to make his first-team debut in a UEFA Europa League tie against Dinamo Zagreb in December 2021. Midfielder Potts was part of the squad which won the UEFA Europa Conference League in Prague in 2023. Everyone at West Ham United would like to sincerely thank Freddie for his hard work, commitment and all-round contribution and wish him every success in the future."
