At Thirsk, Heavey's confident pick is Indian Run (4.10, nb) in the Weatherbys Global Stallions App Handicap. The Julie Camacho-trained son of Sioux Nation has been winless since landing the Group Three Acomb Stakes at York as a juvenile, but his recent second at Windsor was highly encouraging. Raised just 1lb, he makes most appeal today.
Yafreh at Thirsk
Richard and Peter Fahey's Yafreh (3.40) contests the Weatherbys Epassport Handicap. Unraced as a juvenile, the three-year-old has progressed nicely in three starts, with two fourths and a second last time out. A full-brother to Listed winner Al Mubhir and half-brother to Yabher, the Frankel colt remains unexposed and should continue to improve.
Alma Latina at Epsom
Back at Epsom, Alma Latina (6.57, trb) runs in the Betfred 'The Classic Bookmaker Handicap for owner Kirsten Rausing. Trained by Ralph Beckett, this three-year-old stepped forward when winning at Pontefract on her third start, comfortably beating According To Mark. Upped in trip to a mile and a half, she holds strong claims on her handicap debut.
