Olly Murs has spoken publicly for the first time after announcing he and his wife Amelia are expecting their second child. The couple, who welcomed daughter Madison in May 2024, shared the news on Instagram on Friday.
During his Heart radio show with Mark Wright on Saturday, Murs admitted the pregnancy came as a surprise. 'It's been really exciting news for us both. A shock, we didn't expect it to happen this quick, but just yeah, amazing. We just want to grow our little family,' he said.
The singer, 40, and his bodybuilder partner, 32, married in July 2023. Their announcement video showed the family walking through a park, with Madison wearing a jacket reading 'BIG SIS' and Amelia holding a scan photo. The caption read: 'We're so egg-cited to share this..… Another Baby Murs on the way.'
Murs previously opened up about the emotional difficulty of leaving his family days after Madison's birth to tour with Take That. He told Wright he broke down in tears months later, realising he had missed getting to know his daughter as a newborn.
