WWE has announced it will bring its official recruitment team directly to the UK public for the first time next month, offering aspiring wrestlers the chance to earn an invitation to a full WWE Tryout.
The event, revealed on Instagram, will see talent scouts set up at the flagship Fanatics Collectibles Store on London's Regent Street. Everyday hopefuls will be able to pitch themselves in person and potentially secure a spot at an official tryout.
A Break from Tradition
Traditionally, a place at a closed-door WWE Tryout is invitation-only, reserved for elite collegiate athletes, established independent wrestlers, and standout performers scouted behind the scenes. By opening the central London retail hub to the public, the company aims to discover the next Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, or Rhea Ripley from the British high street.
A WWE spokesman told the Daily Star: "For the first time, we're bringing WWE's recruitment team directly to the people. We're always searching for the next generation of talent, and we know that potential can come from anywhere. This is a unique opportunity to sign up, to step forward, showcase what makes you special, and lock in a chance to join our full WWE Tryout and change your life forever. You never know — the next great WWE Superstar could walk through the doors of the Fanatics Store."
What Hopefuls Can Expect
Those who attend will be expected to demonstrate charisma, a larger-than-life personality, and athletic presence. Hopefuls who impress the scouting panel on the shop floor will be fast-tracked to a formal, multi-day WWE Tryout, where their in-ring physicality, stamina, and microphone skills will be tested by Performance Center coaches.
The initiative marks the latest collaboration between WWE and Fanatics, whose Regent Street venue has become a hub for UK sports fans. It comes as excitement builds ahead of WWE's return to British arenas, with Monday Night Raw in Glasgow and Friday Night SmackDown in Manchester scheduled for the new year.
