Hearn's Candid Assessment
In a recent interview with First Round TV, Hearn provided a frank perspective on Joshua's future in the sport. "I don't think there are any guarantees he fights again," Hearn stated, acknowledging the profound impact of the traumatic events. "But at the same time, I expect him to because boxing is something that he genuinely loves."
The promoter emphasized that Joshua must be granted all necessary time to process the emotional and physical aftermath of the crash before considering any return to competitive boxing. Hearn revealed that Joshua has been engaging in some training activities but is not yet prepared for full boxing training and won't be for some time.

Hearn suggested that boxing could potentially serve as a meaningful channel for Joshua to honor his departed friends. "It is something he can carry those guys with him through as well," Hearn explained, "and it is something he wants to do."

Prior to the tragic incident, Joshua's career trajectory appeared clearly mapped out. "Before this terrible incident we were geared up to fight in March and then fight Tyson Fury," Hearn confirmed. "Obviously, that is not happening now and I don't know if it will ever happen right now."
However, Hearn remains cautiously optimistic about Joshua's potential return to the sport. "I think in the next few weeks and month, he may start to return and just turn the dial up a little bit more on training and see where he is at," the promoter suggested.
