Chisora reveals Joshua training talks before Fury fight

Derek Chisora has offered an insight into Anthony Joshua's preparations for his long-awaited clash with Tyson Fury, revealing the pair speak regularly and that Joshua is in strong form.

The two heavyweights are set to settle their 10-year rivalry on December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Joshua will be reunited with trainer Ben Davison, two years after they parted ways following Joshua's knockout loss to Daniel Dubois.

Regular Contact and Training Updates

Davison previously cornered Fury for five fights and played a key role in helping him return to the ring after a period of depression linked to drink and drugs. Joshua's decision to work with Davison again has drawn attention across the boxing world.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Chisora said: "I speak to him every Friday after his week of training camp. I send him a message asking him how it was, and he said 'yeah I'm killing it'. So that is all I need to know, he's killing it. Whatever happens it is going to be an exciting fight on December 11."

Advice for Fight Night

Having faced Fury three times himself, Chisora may pass on tactical advice to Joshua. He urged his friend to end the fight early, warning that a longer contest could prove difficult.

"I am so excited about it. We are not getting it too late, it is at the right time," he continued. "Both fighters have something to prove still in the ring. AJ has to knock him out in the first six rounds. After that it is a long night, but AJ has the power to knock out Tyson any round. But has Tyson got that same power? No. However, what Tyson will do is make the fight at a higher pace. He has the endurance to sustain it for 12 rounds, and throw a higher volume of punches. So it will be interesting and I'm very excited, especially if Dana White is involved and at the top table."

Fury is expected to enter the fight as a strong favourite, with both men now in the later stages of their careers.
