Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez will fight for Christian M'billi's WBC super middleweight title on Saturday, October 31, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The bout marks Alvarez's return to the ring for the first time in 13 months, following his defeat to Terence Crawford in September 2025.
M'billi (29-0-1, 24 KOs) will be making the first defence of his super middleweight title, while Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs) is coming off the loss that cost him his undisputed super middleweight crown. Coverage of the main fight card is scheduled to begin at 5pm GMT, with ringwalks expected around 8.30pm GMT.
Alvarez trains with Usyk ahead of comeback
In preparation for the bout, Alvarez has been training with two-time world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, described as a 'good friend'. The pair have been filmed in the gym under the watchful eye of head coach Eddy Reynoso and Usyk's team.
"Usyk and I have always been very good friends and we talk every time we see each other," Alvarez told The Ring. "I saw a lot of videos and I asked, they put me in the gym and I very much appreciate them. They teach me a lot and I learn very fast. I like it, I enjoy it, I feel very good."
