Ollie Robinson will make his first England appearance in over a year after being named in the starting XI for the second Test against Pakistan at Lord's, which begins on Thursday.
Robinson Replaces Injured Wood
The Sussex seamer comes into the side for the injured Mark Wood, who has been ruled out of the match with a right elbow issue. Robinson's last Test cap came during the 2025 Ashes series in Australia.
England have opted for a like-for-like pace replacement, with Robinson joining James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Ben Stokes in a four-man seam attack. Spinner Jack Leach is also retained after taking five wickets in the first Test at Old Trafford.

The recall marks a significant moment for Robinson, who has struggled with a series of back injuries over the past 18 months. The 32-year-old has taken 76 wickets in 20 Tests at an average of 22.51.
England captain Ben Stokes confirmed the team news at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday, saying: "Ollie has been bowling brilliantly in the nets and deserves his chance. It's a shame about Woody but we're confident in the squad we've got."
