Detectives are investigating the unexplained death of a man in his 40s, reported to be a wealthy Arab guest, at the five-star Dorchester hotel in London. Housekeepers discovered the man unresponsive in his room on Friday evening, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two men, aged 31 and 50 and both from west London, have been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident. Police are awaiting the results of a postmortem, including toxicology tests, to determine the cause of death.
A witness described the scene as 'crawling with detectives, like something out of an Agatha Christie film.' The hotel, a favourite of celebrities and royalty, expressed regret and offered condolences to the family.
The Dorchester, where room rates start at £445 per night, was previously targeted in two smash-and-grab raids last year.
