The Guardian has issued corrections for two errors in recent publications. An explainer article on Hadi Alodid's route to the UK, published on 11 June (page 6), incorrectly stated that “once in Northern Ireland, an asylum seeker can travel on local flights, buses or ferries to the UK”. The reference should have been to Great Britain or the UK mainland. This error was confined to the print edition.
Crossword Clue Correction
Additionally, the clue for 21 down in cryptic crossword no 30,043, published on 26 June (Journal, page 8), said “Beautiful spot to get hot Japanese food (6)”. The correct wording should have been “Javanese food”.
