Trump's 24 Hours of Rants, AI Slop, and Venezuela Plans

Donald Trump has spent the last 24 hours posting increasingly erratic AI-generated content on Truth Social, attacking enemies foreign and domestic, while reportedly mulling making Venezuela the 51st state and complaining about Cuba. He also appeared to fall asleep at his desk during an Oval Office event on America's 'fertility crisis'. Trump is due to travel to Beijing for talks with President Xi Jinping.

Trump posted dozens of times overnight, including an AI image of a US drone attacking Iranian speedboats with the caption 'BYE BYE, fast boats', and another of a warship firing a laser at an Iranian drone captioned 'Lasers: Bing, Bing, GONE!!!'. He also posted a cartoon of Illinois Governor JB Pritzker eating junk food, saying 'JB is too busy to keep Chicago safe!'.

Amid the posts, Trump ranted about a New York Times report that the cost of refurbishing the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool had spiralled to $13.1 million, up from his initial estimate of $1.5 million. Trump claimed the cost would be '5 or 6 million dollars' and that the work would take two weeks, though it is barely half done.

During an Oval Office event on fertility, Trump appeared close to losing consciousness several times. Health Secretary RFK Jr made unsubstantiated claims about declining sperm counts, stating 'In 1970, men had twice the sperm count as our teenagers do today', and incorrectly described the US fertility rate as '1.57%', which is not a percentage but a number per woman.
