Michael Carrick is set to speak to the media in Spain this evening ahead of Manchester United's Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano tomorrow.
The United boss will preview the game and give the early team news and injury latest from the squad. The club has decided against revealing their travelling squads for European away games this season, believing it could give the home side an advantage.
Training absentees
Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo did not train with their teammates this morning, so it remains to be seen whether they have travelled to Madrid. Also missing from training were Benjamin Sesko, Patrick Dorgu and Noussair Mazraoui, with the trio set to play no part in tomorrow's game.
Matthijs de Ligt was part of Monday morning's training group but is being eased back into action after nearly a year on the sidelines. It is unclear whether he will be available for the match.
Press conference timing
Carrick is set to face the media at 6.15pm this evening. United beat Sabah 4-0 in their first Champions League outing this season, but tougher tests lie ahead, and a positive result tomorrow night could provide a boost to their campaign.
