Manchester City are preparing to return to Premier League action for the first time since being found guilty of breaking Premier League financial rules. The club have confirmed their appeal after an Independent Commission found them guilty on 114 of 115 charges levied against them between 2009-10 and 2017-18.
£830m Owner Funding and Punishment Range
The club revealed that more than £830million of owner funding was used to inflate revenues through 'sham' agreements. In addition to City's appeal, there is now also a punishment to await, with sanctions ranging from a fine to a points deduction or even expulsion from the Premier League.
