Residents of a London estate have described their horror as their homes have been overrun by swarms of aggressive 'sea rats', with some comparing the conditions to the squalor of Victorian Britain.
Locals say the rodents, which are larger and more aggressive than typical rats, have been pouring out of drains and sewers, invading gardens and even forcing their way into properties.
'It's Like a Horror Movie'
One shaken resident told reporters: 'It's like something out of a horror film. They're everywhere - in our gardens, climbing up the walls, even trying to get through doors and windows. We're living in constant fear.'
The infestation has become so severe that some families are afraid to let their children play outside, while others report being woken at night by the sounds of scratching and scurrying.
Victorian Conditions in Modern London
Angry residents have compared their living conditions to 19th century slums, with many blaming the local council for failing to address the growing crisis.
'This is supposed to be 21st century London, not Dickensian England,' said one long-term resident. 'We pay our taxes and council fees, yet we're living in conditions our great-grandparents would recognize.'
Health Fears Grow
Public health experts have warned that the infestation poses serious health risks, with the rats potentially carrying diseases and contaminating food supplies.
The local council has acknowledged the problem but claims it is working within budget constraints to address the issue. A pest control team has reportedly been dispatched, but residents say more drastic action is needed.
As the standoff continues, frustrated locals say they feel abandoned by authorities and fear the problem will only get worse as winter approaches.
