The rift was further exposed as MPs Zarah Sultana, a prominent left-wing figure, and Rachel Reeves, Shadow Chancellor and key ally of Keir Starmer, publicly disagreed over economic policy. Sultana criticised Reeves' approach as "too cautious," while Reeves defended her stance as "pragmatic and electable."
