Apple has officially launched AppleCare One in the UK, a subscription service that allows customers to protect multiple Apple devices under a single plan. Priced at £16.99 per month, the plan covers up to three eligible devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches.
What AppleCare One offers
If a device is accidentally damaged, lost, or stolen, Apple will repair it or provide up to three replacement devices per year, depending on the claim type. The service builds on AppleCare+, which provides unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery servicing, and 24/7 priority support. The key difference is that AppleCare One consolidates coverage for multiple products into one subscription, potentially saving money.
Potential savings
Apple estimates that someone covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch could save up to £11.48 per month compared to buying individual AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss plans for each device. Another major advantage is eligibility: devices up to four years old can be added to the plan, provided they are in good condition. This extends far beyond the usual 60-day window for purchasing AppleCare+ after buying a device.
"AppleCare One gives customers greater flexibility to protect the devices they already have," Apple said. "Eligible products that are up to four years old can be added to a plan, provided they are in good condition, opening up coverage well beyond the current 60-day window to purchase AppleCare+."
Automatic upgrades
The plan also adapts when customers upgrade. If a covered device is traded in and a replacement is bought directly from Apple, the old product is automatically removed and the new one is added to the subscription without extra steps.
