A 38-year-old journalist and mother from Cornwall, identified as Lara, is sexting the 57-year-old manager of the prison where her former partner is serving a sentence. The pair have been exchanging explicit messages for over a month and plan to meet in person next month, despite the prison manager being married.
How the Relationship Began
Lara split from her partner of two years in May 2021, 18 months after he was jailed for drug offences. She first spotted Finn, the prison manager, during visits to see her ex. In July, he contacted her via Facebook after both commented on a local news article.
Speaking about her current situation, Lara said: 'As a single woman I love that I now have freedom to do whatever exciting thing takes my fancy.' She added: 'Sometimes I feel I wasted my teens, twenties and early thirties in a long-term relationship with one guy, while everyone else was out having fun.'
Guilt and Attraction
Lara admits feeling guilt about the affair, particularly when Finn mentions his wife. She said: 'As a feminist, I know there's no justification for exchanging sexual videos with another woman's husband without her full, informed consent. I can't rationalise it. Yet I also can't stop myself.'
