US President Donald Trump said he would "love to see Ireland unified", claiming it will eventually happen.
Speaking to the press during his two-day visit to Ireland, Mr Trump said he does not "want to cause any problems" but would welcome unification. He described it as a "great feather in everybody's cap" if it came about.
Meeting with Taoiseach
The US president met with Irish Premier Micheal Martin, the Taoiseach, at the Farmleigh Estate in Dublin.
