Former The Only Way Is Essex star Jordan Wright has been found dead in a drainage canal near Bang Tao Beach in Phuket, Thailand. The 33-year-old reality TV personality, who once dated Vicky Pattison, was discovered face down in stagnant water by a worker on Saturday afternoon. Police believe his body had been in the canal for up to two days before being found.
CCTV footage captured Wright behaving erratically outside his hotel before disappearing from view. His belongings, including a hotel key card and mobile phone, were found nearby on the bank. Police confirmed there were no visible signs of assault and no disturbance in his hotel room. Authorities are awaiting autopsy results, including toxicology tests, to determine the cause of death.
Wright rose to fame on TOWIE and Ex on the Beach, appearing in 17 episodes of the former in 2018. He was later dropped from the show amid claims linked to his absence from his role as a firefighter with the London Fire Brigade. Friends say he later returned to firefighting and pursued DJing, which he described as his true passion.
In recent years, Wright moved to Thailand for a fresh start, working in financial investment and sharing videos of motorbike riding, martial arts, and beach life on social media. Tributes have poured in from friends and colleagues, with DJ Stuart Hart calling him 'one of the good ones'. The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation.
