Coleen Rooney 'wants Rebekah Vardy to shut up and leave her alone' after IAC

Coleen Rooney is reportedly determined to avoid any further interaction with Rebekah Vardy once she returns from the Australian jungle, despite Vardy's apparent change of heart during the current series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

A source told OK! magazine: 'In Coleen's mind, her war with Becky is over and all she wants is for Becky to pay her bill and then she will never have to think about her again. But Becky can't let it go - and Coleen will find it hilarious, and somewhat tragic, about Becky's constant mentioning of her.'

Rebekah Vardy, 42, initially took swipes at Coleen in her newspaper column, mocking her during the opening task and posting social media comments. However, she recently praised Coleen for her composure during a gruesome Bushtucker Trial, writing in The Sun: 'I'm applauding Coleen. She really held her nerve as the mealworms, cockroaches and rats crawled all over her.'

The source added that Vardy's praise may be a tactical move after backlash: 'Becky is also aware of all the backlash she has been getting for slating Coleen so has decided on a change of tack. If Becky wants a long career, she knows she needs to be seen as more than the pantomime villain.'

Coleen, 38, is tipped to win the show and has been widely popular with viewers, reportedly earning a record £1.5m for her appearance. The Wagatha Christie legal dispute between the two women remains unresolved, with Coleen reportedly wanting Vardy to pay her legal bill and move on.
