Disgraced reality TV star Stephen Bear has been sentenced to 24 weeks in prison after pleading guilty to five counts of failing to comply with the sex offenders register notification requirements.
The former Celebrity Big Brother winner, 36, appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court on August 13, accompanied by his pregnant partner Miami. He previously pleaded guilty to breaching the notification requirements of the 10-year sex offenders register by failing to notify police of foreign travel when he visited Brazil in 2015. He is also accused of secretly obtaining a new passport and signing up for two bank accounts.
Separate Restraining Order Breach
This sentencing is not linked to his appearances earlier this month, when it was announced that Bear had been jailed for 16 months for breaching a restraining order that banned him from posting online about his ex-girlfriend Georgia Harrison.
After Bear's sentencing for breaching the restraining order was announced on August 6, Harrison said in a statement shared by the police: “Essex Police took me seriously when so many women in my position are overlooked.
“They treated this as the serious crime it is - not a celebrity story. It is a real offence against a real person. They built the case properly, they stayed with it, and when the order was breached, they acted instead of shrugging. From the messages I get every day, I know how rare that still is.
"If every force treated this the way Essex Police did, thousands of women would feel safer today."
Background of the Case
Bear had released several messages about Harrison online after he was released from prison, claiming there was a conspiracy against him and that she was a liar. This took place between March 2025 and July 2025, while Harrison was pregnant with her first child.
The former TOWIE star, who has become a campaigner for stricter rules about "revenge pornography" and online privacy, said the stress of his comments "caused her to spiral" and made her worry about her unborn child.
At the time, there was a restraining order against Bear prohibiting him from speaking about her online. This came into place after he was sentenced to 21 months in prison for filming and sharing a sex tape of Harrison - who waived her legal right to anonymity - on OnlyFans and WhatsApp without her consent.
Bear was arrested in 2021 and pleaded not guilty to voyeurism, disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress, and harassment without violence. He was found guilty and sentenced in 2023 to 21 months imprisonment. He served his sentence at HM Prison Chelmsford before being transferred to HM Prison Brixton in August 2023. He was released from prison early on January 17, 2024.
