Sir Keir Starmer's government is in meltdown this morning after yet more shock resignations from the Prime Minister's inner circle. The latest departure came last night when Labour MP Pamela Nash stepped back from her role as parliamentary assistant to the defence secretary.
This follows the shocking resignation of John Healey, who blasted Labour's defence plans as insufficient as he left the Cabinet. Soon after, Al Carns, the decorated veteran and armed forces minister, also stepped aside.
The latest round of resignations led Sir Keir's critics to slam the Prime Minister. Kemi Badenoch said it was proof he was 'too weak to cut welfare and fund defence.'
