Prince William 'had enough' of Andrew, wants him to stay out of sight

Prince William has reportedly "had enough" of a member of the Royal Family and wants them to "stay out of sight." While the spotlight remains on the Prince of Wales's strained relationship with Prince Harry, William's frustrations are not directed at the Duke of Sussex — but elsewhere.

William's frustration with his uncle

According to a Palace insider, William is fed up with his uncle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and wants him to drop his legal battle against the Thames Valley Police. The source said: "William has had enough. He wants Andrew to stop fighting, stay out of sight and stop putting Epstein and the Royal Family back into the headlines."

The source also claims that in William's eyes, "every new legal battle" harms the reputation of the Firm.

Andrew's legal action and arrest

Andrew took legal action against Thames Valley Police in a bid to quash search warrants which led to his arrest in February. The disgraced royal was arrested on his 66th birthday on suspicion of misconduct in public office following allegations he shared sensitive information with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein during his time as the UK's trade envoy.

Thames Valley Police has accepted warrants it used to search Andrew's home at the time of his arrest were unlawful. Judge Mr Justice Hilliard said on Thursday at the High Court that Mountbatten-Windsor and the police had agreed that the search warrants had been unlawful.

Investigation continues

However, he added: "The fact that the search warrants were quashed does not bring the investigation to an end or mean that the whole of the investigation is unlawful."

Items seized in the raid are still in police custody. A further hearing in 2027 will decide whether the material can be used as evidence. Though the ex-prince opposes the police's bid to retain the evidence, the court heard.
