Peter Phillips Wedding: Ex-Husband Claims He's Been Written Out

Peter Phillips has married Harriet Sperling in a private ceremony attended by senior royals, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the King and Queen. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie also attended, marking their first appearance at a large royal gathering since their father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond described Beatrice and Eugenie's presence as 'brave', noting that they kept a low profile to avoid drawing attention from the bride and groom. The sisters have faced recent criticism after a National Audit Office report revealed King Charles had been funding their London accommodation despite them not being working royals.

The bride wore a lace gown by Emilia Wickstead and the Pragnell family tiara. After the ceremony, the couple posed for photographers before heading to their reception at Gatcombe Park. Peter Phillips, the King's nephew, split from his first wife Autumn in 2020 and shares custody of their two children.

Despite rain, guests enjoyed the day, especially seven-year-old Lena Tindall, who entertained with her unicorn umbrella. King Charles waved to onlookers as he arrived. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not attend.
